SOME FACTS ABOUT THE WOOD USED

INDIAN ROSE WOOD

(dalbergia latifolia), also commonly known as Sheesham wood, is a hardwood. These trees can reach a height of 100 feet and have cylindrical boles of 35 to 50 feet and reach on average 3 to 5 feet in diameter. This wood is hard, and dense with high bending and crushing strengths, medium shock resistance.

Indian Rosewood or Sheesham wood is ideal for fine furniture.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Almost all Indian furniture is hand made and any slight imperfections that are present are regarded as part of the characteristics of this type of furniture. The furniture from India is easy to care for and any accidental scrapes during its lifetime can usually be covered easily with a light coat of wax.
